Bed

So an early night it was. I thought I would make use of my new DVD player that I got for my birthday a few weeks ago and so settled in my bed to watch ' What women want' I think thats what it is called. ok so there I was settled and comfortable, for some reason I was feeling horny so grabbed my gold lady lust finger and started to play as I watched the start of the film. I was letting my imagination work as I thought about Romeo being there with me. Well it wasn't long before I had a lovely orgasm and the next thing I knew I was woken up when my boys got home from watching cricket. I hadn't seen much of the film.

This morning I woke up with bad back pains. This has been happening everytime I try to catch up on some sleep. If I am in bed for more than 5 or 6 hours I get back pain. Last week I finally got the loan I had been thinking about for a while to pay off my council tax and rent arrears. The money went into my mum's (she my guarantor) bank account, she has now transferred it into my account or at least we hope she has. so I should get it on tuesday or wednesday as monday is a bank holiday. So knowing that I an getting this money I decided to treat myself to a new bed (one that the kids won't break when wrestling). Maybe then I can catch up on sleep without getting back pain. first I collected mother and dragged her around a couple of stores ...well its good excercise for her to walk without her stick for a while but she did keep sitting down 'testing the chairs' She thinks I should go for a divan.

I said no as I have had two divans in two years and the boys have broken two of them. No she says that is because you have ones with drawers what you need is a solid divan.

that would be no good for me as I need the storage space. In my mind I am thinking more of a metal bed. I found several but as I need to sit on the end of my bed to use my computer (the one that refuses to connect to the internet today as it wont recognise the adapter) these were not ecaxtly going to be ideal.

Good space under the bed for drawers but could be uncomfortable to sit on the end of it!! Besides they all seemed to have wooden slats as the base. Hmmmm not convinced that these would survive my boys. Anyway next we looked at wooden beds, mother suggested this one!!

Now this could be interesting in my love life but can't you just imagine my boys swinging off these posts...they just wouldn't be able to resist. So another store, more divans, more metal beds with fancy iron work then I found the bed for me. Wooden with wooden slats that have a metal support running down the middle the slats are not flat so have more give in them so they stand a better chance of survival. I am having a different matress from the one on the bed in the store though as the one on the opposite bed is an orthodedic one and cheaper so hopefully no more back pain. I am going back tomorrow to make a deposit as the store has a sale on and after tuesday the price goes back to double what it is now. So middle of next week I should have my new bed.

And to solve the computer problem I am going to see if I cna get a cheap laptop then the boys can have the desk top in their room and I can sit whereever I like with the laptop. There will be no need for the boys to even come into my room let along break my bed again !!!

I will comit murder if this one gets broken (unless it is broken by me and my man).

update 2.30pm Sunday

I have just been back to the store and ordered and paid for my new bed £463 booo hooo I know it was a good deal but it is still an awful lot of money for me to spend in one go. I just hope that I will start to sleep better once I get it. Delivery date is tuesday 13th May so just over a week to wait (big smiles)

That's a lovely bed. I like the clean lines. May your new bed and mattress let you sleep in comfort and wake up without pain!

Sweet dreams, Lady.

I'm thinking there would be some dead kids in the house if they broke our bed.

Beleive it or not, I just did the book meme you tagged me with a while back. Sorry for the delay in getting to it and for my absence in commenting. I've been unbelievably busy with work lately. That's a good thing, but negelecting my blog buddies is not!

hmm if you're getting a laptop you might as well go for the metal bed - it can be sooo naughty ...

I'm looking at your choice of bed and though it is better than the others I am still not sure if it is sturdy enough. I am not boasting but you need a very solid bed that will withstand the vibration of vigorous sex, day in, night out.

Metal support down the middle is not enough. Ours - solid oak, massive, made in China - has wooden support down the middle with a couple of extra legs - so 6 in all.

No creaking, no banging against the wall. You need to think to the future. Major investment.

vincent if things work out with Romeo then it will be his king sized bed that will be getting the action....mind you he could always come here for some sedate passion this new bed of mine looks like it will be good for tying someone too.

giggle I don't think it was the movie itself that got me excited. I watched it again last night but don't think I am even half way through it. THis is why I don't watch films very often these days ....I fall asleep.

Jeff it sometimes takes me weeks to get around to a tag and sometimes I just never get there.

mei whatever can you be suggesting lmao

What Women Want is a great film. Very funny. Give it another chance :)

As to the bed, I changed mine a couple of months ago because I suspected it might be a contributory cause of my sciatica. Got one of those memory foam mattresses. My husband weighs twice what I do and I had become conscious that I was sleeping on a slope. Within a few days, my back had righted itself. Change your bed regularly people! Ours seem to last ten years tops without problems setting in.

The way to keep kids from busting things up is to teach them to have respect for things. That's what parents taught in my age.

I would bust the noggins of many kids these days if they were in my home because their parents do not lay down the law.

A bed with drawers is okay if you get a quality one. Or beef it up before using it.

Cake I do change my bed regularly lol this will be the third in two years!!!

I'm having a Sealy backcare orthopeadic matress so fingers crossed

Oh dear, I thought we got rid of him.

I'm still sleeping on a mattress! One day I'll get a bed. It's great to see you financially better off now. It's a great feeling heh?

Oh and the internet thing? It's been happening to me as well at the moment, constantly kicks me off, sometimes saying it can't find the modem. Grrrr! You aren't with Virgin by chance?

Really nice looking bed. Sure hope it helps your back problem. We need one without a footboard as Chopper is so tall and that bed would do nicely except we can't afford that much!

I jumped around on beds when I was young .... WOH hold on here. I still jump around on beds, oh well never mind.

Dazzed and Confused said...

OH, One more thing! I like your choice of beds so much I can actually see myself in it.

Vi it is at a price I am afraid but it will mean that I can clear up a few things like rent arrears and Council tax grrr peace of mind more than anything. Just to celebrate I have just taken my mum and ET out for dinner as the others were all out. I couldn't afford to buy my mum anything when it was her birthday so this was my treat to her and ET starts his exams this week.

Lady in red said...

dj ordinarily I couldn't afford it either, but as I do have some money I thought this would be the highest priority although there are plenty of other things I could easily spend the money on.

Lady in red said...

Mulder I can just imagine you jumping on beds ............is that why you are now Mulder?

Lady in red said...

Mulder is that now or after it is delivered?

Dazzed and Confused said...

Answer to Question #1
The name Mulder is from a TV/Move Called The X Files and Mulder was one of the Stars on the show. I'm not sure if I the X or if I'm a Star.

Answer to Question #2
And that would be after and often.

Lady in red said...

Mulder I know why you are called Mulder I was hinting that perhaps it was the habit of jumping on beds that led to you being in the situation that led to you being named after the show.

as for #2 is that a challenge you are setting yourself?

Dazzed and Confused said...

No I only jumped on the one bed.

#2 - Challenge, dream, fantasy, I'm not sure.
