Meeting Echo

Only I could think about eating a salad where the main ingredient is shredded beetroot for my lunch.

Only I could think of eating a salad of shredded beetroot whilst weating a white blouse.

Only I could think of eating a shredded beetroot salad whilst wearing a white blouse when I have a date with a new man straight after work and I have no spare clothes to change into.

Luckily I only dropped one piece of beetroot.

Luckily the blouse has a low cut neckline, the beetroot landed on my cleavage. The purple stain was the size of a pin head and not easily visible.

Luckily Echo did not notice the stain, or if he did he didn't show it.

We had arranged to meet at a pub, not far from my work, at 5pm. He had said that he would be there at 4.45pm. I was to leave work at 4.30pm for a change although I could do so every day. I fixed my make up and changed into my red heels to go with my red suit and white blouse. I arrived at the pub car park and text him that I had arrived. A minute or two later I saw a car drive passed, I recognised the driver from his photo. Once he had arked I got out of my car and was fiddling with the lock when he came up behind me checking that it was me.

Neither of us had been to this pub before, the bar area was dominated by a very large party of drinkers sat in a big group, probably a works do. Echo ordered two 'random' J2O's for us we both got raspberry. I don't think the young barman understood the concept of 'random'. We made our way to a table in the corner, both of us aiming for the same chair.

We chatted easily, which was good because he told me that he had met a few others and found that the conversation was not great. But for us there were no awkward silences, if anything I talked too much. I wasn't the slightest nervous, I felt totally at ease with Echo. Unfortunately echo couldn't stay long as he was scheduled to play a tennis match later. we did manage an hour before he had to go. We walked out to our cars together and he kissed me lightly on the lips before leaving me.

Later I found a long email from him saying how much he had enjoyed meeting me and he had really wanted to kiss me much more but then he wouldn't have been able to tear himself away.

I am hoping that his work (which is not always regular hours) will soon give us the opportunity to meet again, for longer next time.

can you hear them?

Did you hear them?

No what?

The sheep!

No I can't hear anything just you

You can't hear the sheep baaaaing?

No nothing

Now?

No!

Cup your ears like this

Nothing

You really can't hear them?

No..................oh hang on I heard something very faint, yes now I can hear them getting clearer

We were stood on the top of the hill looking out to the horison where we could see the lights from Fawley Power Station then further west Southampton. There were other lights dotted around the landscape before us between the fields and trees. We couldn't see much else in the darkness with only the moon to light our way. The clouds fanning out from the moon in a way that reminded me of sun rays. Craning my neck as I tried to make out the star formations between the clouds. He held me to him as he stood behind me arms around my body as we found The Plough, but unable to clearly make out any other formations even though we knew they were there.

Our evening had started out with us driving aimlessly not knowing where we would end up. First we stopped at the pub famous (in the past) for all the shoes you could see on display there. The shoes were removed by the current owner so I only saw 2 on the mantlepiece (one that must have belonged to a very large man). As we chatted and drank our Australian red wine he regaled me with tales from his time in The Army along with stories of sailing trips with friends. When we left he wanted to show me the view from Old Winchester Hill. Of course at that time of night there wasn't much to see but it was still lovely looking out into the empty night with the only sound being our own voices and those of the sheep in a nearby field (when I finally heard them). After a few minutes cuddling in the open air we drove further along the lane so we could see the lights of Portsmouth and further out Isle of Wight. Before turning back and parking up in a secluded corner of a carpark hidden away from the road for some canoodling.

Unlike Cinderella I wasn't home before midnight but not much later as we were both tired.

Pouting

Is it classed as a date then when Plumber came round this afternoon?

I have had a busy day, 5 yes 5 men turned up on my doorstep at 7.35am. The head man explained what they would be doing then they got down to ripping out the old boiler, the water heater and some of the radiators. I had only just begun to do the sink full of washing u that has been staring at me for days when they turned the water off. Ok I had a sink full of soapy water so that wasn't a problem but when they wanted to run the cold tap into my sink of soapy water I had to give in and let out my soapy water to make room for the horrid cold water.

I brought my laptop downstairs so that I could listen to the radio and start doing some work on my spreadsheets for my project at the office. The electricity was turned off. There was nothing for it but to make my first visit to the amenity tip. I have never seen it so quiet there.

After I returned the electricity came back on, I was waiting for my laptop to sort itself out as it wasn't very happy about its battery running out. I noticed that Golf was online so I did something I very rarely do, I initiated a conversation (actually I often initiate our conversations ~ he feels honoured for some reason). Plumber phoned me while I was chatting to Golf (that became a little confusing for me). Having similar conversations but at different speeds is not the easiest thing to do. Later it was Forest who was chatting (first by text then when I got back online by IM). He wanted to see me tonight but I had to decline as I knew that after just 2 hours sleep last night I was going to be very tired tonight.

Both the water and electricity were turned off at different times forcing me to sit and read for a while. It was at about 2.20pm that the head engineer came to tell me that they were finished and he wanted to explain where everything was and how it works. I know what time it was because it was just at that moment that Plumber phoned me.

Where are you?

At home ........why where are you?

Outside looking at your knickers

Lol Ok I will be right there

He was at the back of the house while I was at the front door saying goodbye to engineers. Plumber had come round to cut back the long grass, nettles and brambles that make up the main part of my back garden. He also had a look at the space I have made for the dishwasher he has got for me. He needs t make a few adjustments before it will fit but he says it won't be a problem. I left him to get started on my garden while I finally got stuck into the washing up and cleaning my kitchen.

But when I looked back outside I was horrified. The brambles were still in tact but he had tackled the nettles and grass but he was chopping down the clematis that was just coming into flower (I have been growing it for 12 years). He then moved over to the other side of the garden and cut down my other clematis, honeysuckle, broom and ballerina rose bush. He was methodically stripping everything out of my garden. I don't think he saw me pouting. Oh well I shall just have to start from scratch again.

I need to get all the greenery that he has cut down chopped into small pieces so that it can be bagged up and taken to the tip. Plumber was here for about 2 hours in all and we managed to get quite a bit done in the garden so I guess that does count as a date sort of so I am going to include it in my tally.

I had to dash off at 4.30 because I had made a Dr's appointment for JA as he has been experiencing pains in his legs. I had figured that he has Osgood Slatters Disease which I was pleased to hear the Dr confirm. As he was examining JA's knees I couldn't help noticing that in recent years this Dr has become a little portly. Watching him with his curly hair reminded me of Elliot Hope in Holby City.

I couldn't find the photo of my clematis in full bloom but here it is covered in snow last April so you will have an idea of the sorry state it was in after the gales had done their worst.

Out with Plumber again

Did I mention that when I started seeing these new men I set up a new IM address. A couple of weeks ago I put up a message about my birthday being over Easter. Plumber suggested that he would take me out over the weekend. During the week he told me he would take Friday off from working so that he could take me to Chichester to see the shops and other sights of the city. So my 6th date with Plumber was spent walking around in the rain on Good Friday.

Plumber collected me at 9.15am (no bank holiday lie in for me). We drove off in the rain hoping that the sun would come out eventually. Arriving in the city we began to worry about the lack of shoppers.............perhaps being a Bank Holiday the shops were not open. But by the time we reached the Cathederal the clock was striking 10.00am shopers began to appear from all directions. We wandered around the big department store for a while before heading off for other smaller shops. Plumber treated himself to a new big brolly and I bought my boys some alternative Easter Eggs (football socks & goalie gloves). Next it was M & S which was when I got the giggles. Whilst I was browsing Plumber took a phone call from a customer. I couldn't help giggling at him talking business, pretending to be really busy when he was really wandering around between racks of bras and knickers.

We wandered up and down the streets trying to keep dry but not really seeing much from under his brolly. We stopped for refreshments in a vegetarian cafe. The cakes looked very scrumptous but we managed to resist. Once we were back out in the rain Plumber was very keen to show me something he had discovered recently. We had accidentally timed our arrival at the Cathederal to coincide with the worshipers departure from their service. We saw several people dressed in robes so guessed there had been some acting going on. Walking passed these people we made our way through the cloisters emerging at the rear of the cathederal beside the Bishops Palace. Here he revealed his suprise, the Bishop's Garden.

By this time I was tired of walking in the rain and we made our way back to the car park. We decided to find somewhere for lunch. Soon we were back on the motorway heading west, I was beginning to think we were going home but we drove on past our town until we reached jnct 7 and wound our way along country lanes. We spotted several pairs of pheasants pretending they own the road.

Finally we reached our destination a country pub in Durley. We had a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. I am certainly discovering lots of lovely country pubs that I hadn't been to before.

I'm off to a family wedding now, but will post some photos from my day out, once I have returned.

This is getting to be a habit

It is becoming a habit going out with Plumber.

I have told about our fourth date together, earlier this week we had our 5th date wich is date 7 in total but hold on I have not included my date with Thomas so really this is date 8.

Last weeked Plumber had invited me along to a gig that the band he works with were due to play in one of the local villages but just as I was about to set off he told me that the gig had been cancelled. He wanted to see me on Sunday evening instead but I didn't hear from him all day until the early hours when he apologised for not being in contact.

On Monday I text him to see if he would be working late, he wasn't so we decided to go for a drink. When he collected me he asked if I had ever been to the pub with no name. I hadn't a clue where he was talking about. He drove out of town along a familiar road. I kept expecting that we would soon arrive at this pub (which is now called The White Horse). We seemed to be driving for ages, we had long since gone further than I was familiar with. Making our way along the Meon Valley travelling ever north. Eventually we turned into a smaller lane for a few miles before arriving at a quaint country pub complete with duck pond on the edge of the car park.

We sat drinking our South African merlot in a bar that appeared to be in a time warp. We were both interested in the price list hung on the wall by our table. Between us we worked out that it must have been from the early 1970s. It couldn't have been earlier because it was in £ and p not £ s d as it would have been pre decimalisation in 1972. But it couldn't have been much later as the prices were so low. I don't remember any drink (pint of beer or spirit) being more than 29p most were in the 23p -26p price range.

Once we had finished our drinks Plumber decided to show me another pub he knew on the way back home. It was around 10pm by this time but as we drove along it soon became evident that country pubs shut early these days, we passed pub after pub that was already in darkness. The pub he wanted to show me was also in darkness as we passed. Finally we managed to find a pub that was open, the same place we had enjoyed a meal a few weeks ago. There were very few people in the bar, the restaurant already closed. We found a table in a secluded corner where we could sit in relative privacy. Even at one point with my legs resting across his lap as he marvelled at how smooth my naked legs were below my black lacy skirt.

After being kicked out at closing time we drove back home where we sat snogging for a few minutes. But Unfortunately my bladder cut short our kissing when I had to make a run for my house.

For this date I wore a black top under a scarlet jacket, black skirt and scarlet shoes.

A Dinner Date

Plumber wanted to see me again. He suggested that we should go out for dinner. I mentioned that I would need to feed my boys first. Plumber insisted that he would provide pizza and chips for them as he was taking their mother out. So on his way home from work he stopped at Asda and had two of the biggest pizzas they have seen made up for them along with two big bags of steak cut chips.

An hour later he was back to pick me up for our third date so this is date 3 with guy one = date 5 in total.

We drove to the converted Mill where I had enjoyed my cup of tea with guy 3 a few days earlier. While Plumber ordered our drinks I found us a table. Soon after he joined me at the table I saw a family group arrive, the mother was someone I knew when I was 18 back in Kent. She looks just the same as she always did, just older. It was a shock to realise that her two children who I last saw as junior school children are now almost grown up. Her daughter was born just a week or so before OJ in the same hospital so she is now 18. We chatted for a minute before my friend joined her family. (I have worked out that it has been about 7 years since I last saw my friends.) Later my friend's husband arrived, although he must now be 50 he doesn't look any different now than the last time I saw him. They were both part of a group of friends I hung around with when in my early adult years. Later when I moved to this part of the country I was amazed to find them already here and even more amazed when he became the head master of my son's junior school.

I really enjoyed the grilled sole followed by profiteroles (I couldn't finish mine though). During our meal Plumber realised that he knew one of the people at the next table and had a conversation with them. I guess that is one of the things about eating out in a local restaurant, you meet people you know. We hadn't finished the bottle of red wine Plumber had bought when we arrived so we took that back with us to his house.

We sat watching tv as we drank our wine, we discussed the news items that we saw. By the time the news was over my glass was empty so we made our way upstairs to bed. In the morning after a few kisses and cuddles we both dressed and he drove me back home ready for work. Its a long time since I used to drive home at 6am.

Guy three

Guy three date one (date 4)

I had been chatting to Golf on and off for days, he is a professional man with his own business, just a few years older than me. We share a similar sense of humour. He doesn't have a photo on his profile but he emailed one to me during our first IM chat. He isn't the best looking guy but looks are not everything.

When we decided to go for a drink he left me with a bit of a dilema. You see I had a choice, either I could drive to meet him or he could pick me up from where ever I chose. Normally on a first date I prefer to drive myself there. I feel safer, more in control if I have my own transport. But what is a girl to do when faced with the option of a ride in an X type Jaguar. (I have become obsessed with Jags in the last 9 months, just ask Mei).

So against my normal instincts I opted for a lift in his jag.

At the appointed time I was standing on the corner of the road when he rang to say he was running 10 minutes late. It was chilly so I nipped back inside to get my gloves. In the end he was nearer 20 minutes late. He confessed that he is always late for everything. There was classical music playing quietly as we travelled towards the local posh hotel (where premiership football teams stay when they are in this part of the country). There were few people in the bar where we enjoyed our large glasses of wine. We didn't really flirt much or even joke but kept up a stready stream of conversation as we discussed a myriad of topics. I'm not keen on the centipede he appears to have nestling on his upper lip, but who am I to comment a this stage of the game.

After we had downed our second glass of red wine he suggested we find somewhere to get a coffee. He paid our drinks tab which was £30+ (for just 4 drinks). We headed back towards town stopping at a local converted Mill for a much needed coffee. As it turned out the coffee machine had already been turned off. So whilst I enjoyed my cup of tea he settled for an orange juice. We were probably only there for half an hour.

When we stopped at the end of my road he kissed me. He was very amused at my exclamation of mmmmm nice! (We have since argued about how many mmms there were in my mmmmm).

Several kisses later we said good night and I left him to drive away.

For this date I wore my soft brown flared skirt, stockings and brown heels with a cerise v necked sweater.

Complaint

Ok I concede

I had an ear bashing over the phone.
Then I come on here during my lunch break to find my dear friend Fire has also called me a tease.

Both because I have only posted about my first and second dates before subjecting you to tales of my mum's knee instead of more tales of my dates.

So here is a brief update for you on date two with guy one = date 3 over all.

He had arrive home late from work so when I arrived outside his house 10 minutes earlier than arranged he wasn't ready for me. Before parking up I rang him to make sure I was outside the right house. He was still in the bath!! He confirmed that I was at the right place and told me to park up on the driveway.

Plumber was concerned about greeting me at the door dressed in only a towel but if I could wait a few minutes he would dress. I assured him that it would be a first for me to be greeted by a man in a towel. So he agreed to do just that.

Don't worry it wasn't a hand towel, his modesty was well covered as we sat on his sofa chatting and drinking red wine. This is becoming a habit (drinking red wine that is). I don't know how long we had been chatting before he leaned in for the first kiss. I am sure you don't want to know the rest or what time I got home!!

Oh nearly forgot, brown skirt, orange top, brown shoes and stockings.

for those nosy so and so's who want more info it is posted elsewhere you just need to know where to look although there is a clue or two on my side bar hee hee

I don't suppose

I was thinking about my third date and what to tell you. But I don't suppose you really want to know about that so I thought I had better tell you about something else instead. But what do you want to hear about?

Do you want to hear about my mum going to see yet another specialist to try to get to the bottom of her problems with walking now that her knee is fixed. Although her knee is now working she still has problems with the foot of that leg, but then she was dragging that foot for years before the knee problems. I personally think it all has something to do with her Multiple Sclerosis. The next specialist is a neurologist.

I don't suppose you want to know about my aging grandmother who aged 90 still lives alone in a village in The Cotswolds and still drives short distances. she has been getting phonecalls from people she doesn't know and she is getting confused because she thinks they want her to sell something but she doesn't know what. My mum has made her promise not to let anyone into the house without getting her neighbour to be with her first. My aunt lives in Berlin, so whilst both my mum and my dad's cousin in London are the two relatives who worry the most about my grandmother I am the nearest next of kin. So between the three of us we are going to try to set up an emergency strategy for my grandmother in the absence of her only living child.

Work was very hectic today, the lemon chewer went home sick leaving me to cope on my own. I quite enjoy that as I relish the challenge even if I did go without a lunch break. I found out today that Paulo and his family are going to be giving up their business in a year's time. That will be such a pity, not only because we will all miss them as people but also it is a very good account and growing. That will all change now but at least I know I will still be in contact with him if I wish.

I don't think I told you that we had some changes in our office and now I am no longer directly responsible for Scotland, but I am now the official office contact for half the Sales Mangers and Agents. I have set myself a huge project so discover which accounts could be made more profitable and getting my Sales Reps to do more work.

Oh and of course there are still three men in my life right now plus one or two who would like to be.

Date one with guy two = date 2

Pete was on his way home from a business meeting in Bristol so we arranged to meet for an early drink before he went home. He text me when he was setting out and again when he arrived at the village square where we were planning to meet. We hadn't decided which of the pubs to go to but agreed to meet in the car park and see which we fancied. I rang him when I was leaving home so that he knew I would be there in under 10 minutes.

When I arrived he met me beside my car which I had managed to accidentally park outside one of the pubs, it seemed that was the obvious choice. He looked very smart in his business suit which he had earlier apologised about. After ordering our drinks at the bar we took a seat on one of the comfy sofas close by.

we chatted easily, there was plenty to chat about not least one of his sons goes to the same college as OJ. Pete is a good looking, intelligent man but there was no spark between us. His work takes him all over the place meaning that meeting regularly would not be easy.

We have agreed that we won't meet again as he feels it would mean I would have a lot of waiting to do between dates. He is not very local to me although he lives within 20 miles from me.

For date number two I wore a loose low cut orange top, my soft brown flared skirt, stockings and my designer shoes that I bought from ebay last summer.

date one with guy one

Trixie asked if I was going to take on dani's role whilst she is away.

Dani (cheekydani to those who don't know) is currently back home in Australia but usually resides in London. For some months now dani has been dating guys partly to find her 'Mr right' but also as a challenge to date 80 guys or was that have 80 dates.

Anyway with my recent spate of dates Trixie wondered if I would be taking on the 80 date challenge. she was doing it herself for a while last year until she ran out of time to date. come on Trixie you can start again now, you can join me on the challenge.

So here goes the first date with guy one

A former Army PT instructor plumber is rather sweet. We had been chatting quite a bit over the weekend before meeting for a drink on the Monday evening. I text to say I was running late but he was ok about it and was waiting for me in the car park. Once inside the pub we sat and chatted quite easily as we drank our red wine followed by soft drinks as we were both driving. (forgive me if I have already told you about this date). Half way through the evening I suggested that he sit beside me instead of staying on the far side of the table. He didn't need telling twice.

For some reason the pub shut really early (before 10.30pm) but we managed to hang on until we were the last to be thrown out. As we made our way out he suggested we continue chatting in his car. By this time the rain had started, we watched the wind in the trees, a young fox as it crept along the side of a hedge until it was close enough to see that it was actually a cat. He had been the perfect gentleman all evening. Until his announcement that he was going to kiss me.

Maybe it was all the pent up passion having gone so long since my last proper kissing session. We kissed each other a few times, before passion over took us and we were soon snogging very enthusiastically. He told me that I am a very good kisser. Before too long the seats were adjusted to give us more room as we kissed and groped each other. (It had been a long time for both of us). His mum kept texting to see when he would be home (he is staying with her for the moment as he is still paying mortgage on his old home).

Eventually I decided it was time to go home (not wearing a watch I had no idea what the time was) when I turned on the engine of my own car it was already 1.20pm.

Plumber is very easy to chat to and kissing is great too. He is very fit and promises or should that be threatens to get me fitter too. Although he has no complaints about me as I am he knows I am not happy with my shape. He is very sweet and texts me often, he also chats online he doesn't call me by my name he calls me 'sweetie', not sure how I feel about that.

In true dani fashion I wore a flared black skirt ith a beaded belt with a deep purple sleeveless top with black beads on the shoulders, a deep v neck with ruffles flowing from the neckline, with black stockings and my black beaded shoes over my top I wore my leather look jacket.

4 dates in 4 days

Just a brief note to let you know that I have been a busy bee and now I am a tired busy bee.
I have had 3 dates this week and am being taken out for dinner tonight.

I shall spill some of the beans when I have more time and more energy.

Out Cold

The rain had started before I left home. I text to say I was running late, but managed to get there just 10 minutes late in the end. I had been there a few times with Mr Green.

My date for the night was already there waiting. I didn't need to look for him as I saw a man getting out of his car as soon as I had parked.

A glass of red wine later (£8+ for 2 glasses !!) we chatted together easily. All too soon the pub was shutting. We finally got thrown out about 10.50pm. He suggested that we sit and chat in his car for a while. His was nearer to the door than mine and by then it was raining quite hard.

I don't know how long we had been chatting when out of the blue he announced.

'Now I need to kiss those'

That confused me because I wasn't sure what he meant by 'those'.

It turned out to be my lips. So I let him kiss me and then I kissed him. After that it got a bit confusing as to who was kissing who as we got a little carried away and with the windows steamed up and the car park lights now off there wasn't much light. During the kissing he started getting text messages. Apparently from his mother, who he is currently living with since he left his home. She must have been getting quite bothered as the text messages kept arriving at intervals. By the time he drove me to my car I discovered that it was 1.30am. I left him clearing his windows while I drove home to my cold house.

We had run out of gas on sunday night, I had left money with the card for the boys to get some on Monday, they didn't bother so I got some before I went out. The gas was put on the meter but nobody had bothered to turn the gas back on!! So when I got in from my night out I was freezing and I was still freezing in the morning until I had gone down stairs to lie flat on my stomach with my hands under the gas fire pushing and pressing buttons that I couldn't see to get the gas boiler relit. By the time my family had got up the house was warm again.

My date (Plumber) an ex army PT instructor had text me 3 times by lunchtime. He is making plans for our next date, that is if I can fit him in what with Golf and Pete trying to arrange dates as well as Thomas very eager to see me again.

Nigel's Way

As I said recently, Cheekydani is dating by her friend Nigel's rules or at least she is for a trial month. I decided to see what would happen if I try to do it Nigel's way too.

So this is how it has been working out.

Romeo has not been on contact since 8th December. I have not emailed him since before christmas nor text since New Years day. I have not told him that he has competition or that he is risking losing me. I have said nothing at all.

The Man I am enjoying a regular exchange with. Nearly every day he sends me a chatty email about his day etc. I reply to this then wait for his next email. He has begun sending me email jokes too 5 today alone! Some days, ok most days he sends me a text even if its only a joke. I reply to this. On the days he doesn't make contact at all (like yesterday) I resist the temptation to email or text him. Today he was working from home, this morning he sent me a text joke, this resulted in an exchange of text.

geordie in amsterdam goes to a prostitute & asks how much? she says 350euro, fella says 'I'll give yi 500 if yi let iz do it geordiestyle'. she agrees & afterwards she says , 'that was great sex but can yu tell me what the geordiestyle bit was?' he replies 'can i give you that 500 next week pet?' xx

my reply ...............remind me to avoid Newcastle.

This afternoon I checked my emails ............................5 from The Man

I hadn't been home for very long this evening when I got a text 'fancy a chat? xx'

I didn't find the text until 10 minutes after it was sent. I replied ok

About 10 minutes later my phone rang. He had missed my reply and was disappointed until he found it. we didn't talk for long as I have a sore throat today. It was also a bad line and the screeching on the line was getting on my nerves. Before we finished chatting he slipped in.

'keep the emails coming they are fun'

'like me .................I will grow up one day!'

'no don't ..........there is no room for grown ups in this world.'

I think perhaps he likes me just a tiny bit ;)
Tonight I have been on the dating site, not to see who is there but to let him see that I have been 'online in the last 24 hrs'. I also wanted to change my photo as it is awful but because I am not paid up it will only allow me to have one photo.................brainwave!! I have deleted it and uploaded a better one (Rach's favourite). Whilst I was doing that I got a request to chat on the site's IM but as I am not subscribed I can't do that.

Tomorrow when I am less tired I shall rejoin the free site where I found Romeo and create a new profile.

It is time to let the fun begin (once this rotten sore throat has gone that is).

it started snowing here in Belgium last night and it seems traffic was a nightmare.. which made me laugh, as it was barely 2 inches

in Switzerland life goes on, no matter the amount of snow.. lol

apparently luton airport was shut for an hour beacuse of snow

there was some snow in Scotland and the Midlands, I think

yes

so have you met your local guy yet ? :)

sowwyy.. I'll mind my own business.. ;)

not yet but we chatted on phone last night and exchanged texts today

:D

I was just reading some male advice on dating............... to not reply too quickly

rofl

men ! 8-)

apparently we should keep theman waiting for a reply

oic.. the hunter thing, eh ? ;)

could be

lol

just curious.. do you like macho men ?

define macho

the ones who think they're God's gift to women and who think it's up to them to pull and not the other way around.. ;)

no

phewww ;)

I like men who are honest and loyal but know what they want

good :)

cant be doing with men who are either arrogant or ditherers

When I hear what men can be upto, I can be soooo ashamed to be a man.. :(

is it because you think women like 'macho men' that you don't understand what C sees in you?

pass.. lol

Darn

I forgot

please forgive me

?

you are now officially

an old man

rofl

happy belated birthday

I know.. 47 :(

thanks :)

heee heeee I get to be 46 for a few more months lmao

8-)

so how does it feel?

awful rofl

awwww poor you

so because the end is obviously near, I'll take C out for a nice dinner tomorrow :)

why is the end near?

47 ! lol

don't forget men are like wine

wine that's too old might turn into vinegar.. lol

ha ha

;)

I was just thinking if being 47 makes you take women out for a nice dinner ........................

when will you be back here?

next week probably.. it'll depend on my GP calling me back to arrange an appointment for my offshore medical..

ok

was going to say...............there is a local woman you could take for a nice meal if you are feeling the need to now that you are so old ;p

I'm pretty sure nobody wants me anymore now that I am so old.. ;)

awwww

I know of a good retirement home over your way

but I could do so :)

oh really ? lol

should I reserve a place for you

in the retirement home ? nahh.. not yet.. lol

ok glad to hear it....................I' sure theres some life left in you yet

I hope so ! lol.. So do you know where this local woman would like to go for a nice meal ? ;)

not a clue

It wasn't my intention but as the conversation progressed I seem to have got myself a dinner date once Traveller is back in UK. (did I mention he has 4 homes). Mind you we did talk about meeting for a drink a few months ago but didn't. I have been talking to him for a few years now and although he is only down the road in 'The Other City' we have never met.

The Man

New Year,

new start?

maybe, who knows.

Not sure if I did mention it, I think I did but not going to go back looking. A few months ago I mentally gave myself a date. A deadline for Romeo to prove to me that things will improve. I never told him this. But as you can probably guess now that deadline was New Year. I have heard nothing from Romeo since early December. No Christmas message, no New Year message, nothing. Yet I still believe in him, I still love him, I believe that there will be a very good reason he hasn't been in touch. (A reason he can't tell me about). I still hope that it won't be too long before the work he is doing will change. He did tell me that he will stop doing this work, although he loves what he does he can give it up, he won't continue forever. But he didn't say when he might change to something more home based. I love this man very much, I can't imagine being with another man.

I am still very much in love with Romeo, as I was told last week 'to the point of excluding anyone else from your life'. I am not sure how accurate that is. Now this post is titled 'The Man' because Cheekydani has asked for more details about the man who suprised me with a call on New Year's Eve. This is even more cheeky of her because she knows more about him than anyone else. Due to a little chat we had online just prior to xmas, when she was positively encouraging me to be cheeky and move things on with him.

Ok you want to know more.

At the start of December I received an email out of the blue from a man I had never heard of. I nearly deleted it but decided to check it out. It was from The Man. It simply said that he had read my profile on a dating site. (something I had done before I found Romeo, an awful profile with a dreadful photo). The profile said that I can't read messages (I am not subscribed) but gave very heavy clues to reach my email address. He hoped that his email had reached me. I didn't reply or delete it but next day I read it again and replied that it had reached me and would he like to tell me something about himself. I had no idea where he was or age or anything just a name.

A few hours later he had replied telling me various things about himself. Not only is he in my age bracket ie he had a birthday a few days earlier making him 2 .1/4 yrs older than me, but lives in my town. Divorced! He mentioned keeping fit for his hobby (a sports official) this led me to mention the only sporting venue I visit these days, it turns out that he officiates at this venue as their longest serving official. Suddenly I knew who he was although I only knew his first name before. I logged onto the dating site and searched him out and yes there is a photo on there and he is the person I thought he was.

Anyway to cut a long story short, since then we have been exchanging emails most days. I have not been initiating them just wait for his email then reply. He has a good sense of humour which is essential for me. He is very family orientated, appears to like my humour. When I didn't have the internet for a few days over xmas(twice!!). I was reading his emails on my mobile phone, which did give me the option to reply but although I could change the subject I couldn't type in the message box. so I gave him my mobile number. This was appreciated and now gave us the added option of text messages and he phoned me too. On New Year's Eve I was suprised to get a call from him as I wasn't expecting it. He said he was going to text me but decided to call instead. neither of us have mentioned meeting but I think it will happen. Last night in my email I answered a couple of the things he had said with comments that will let him know I am not just a frumpy middle aged woman but a sexy one too.

Now where does all this leave me? I am in love with a man who is never around. There is a local man who is showing interest and whilst he is not someone I would look at and say wow I really fancy him, he does seem to be very nice. I keep telling myself that I have to let go of Romeo and see who else is out there. It is not going to be easy, I still keep hoping that Romeo will come good for me. Part of me thinks it would be unfair on The Man to start seeing him when I am still in love with Romeo. It would be like saying he is only second best and nobody deserves to be second best. But on the other hand if I don't see anyone else I will never let go of my love for Romeo. I would not be fair on myself to wait indefinitely for a love that may never happen.

Part of me wants to email Romeo and tell him that he has failed to meet my deadline and I am now going to see someone else. But I think I shall do nothing, I shall continue to chat to The Man and see where it leads to. If Romeo wants me then he has to make his move without being prompted by me. As for The Man, I am happy to see where this takes me but I am following his lead, I am not going to chase him. As with Romeo, if he wants me then he has to make the move.

pip

This is something I have been thinking about posting for a little while, more seriously since Vi took up internet dating. Then last night reading her post about Joey I decided that the time has come this is something I have to write about.

Ok first of all confession time, those who have been reading my blog for ages will know this but there seem to be quite a few newish readers to my blog this year. After I divorced SF (shit face if you were wondering...hey he worked in shit and talked it too), I met N, he was a player who messed me about something cronic, sharing his time between me and 'the bitch'. I will go into that story another time. It took me 7 months to come to my senses and ditch N (well technically he ditched me but I hit him and nearly ........another time ok). Anyway this one time he went too far, I couldn't forgive him. Now during our on off relationship I had sent him many sexy photos, some suggestive others more ...well lets just say more to his liking. when we split up I made him get rid of them all. But I still had copies. Money was becoming a real issue for me at this time. I had not worked since March, even by that time my part time wages had not been enough to support me and my 4 boys, although SF was still living in the house he paid nothing towards the rent let alone any bills (main reason I am still struggling to get out of debt). I was desperate to find a way to earn some extra money.

Against my better judgement, remember I was desperate at this time, I tried to find any of the mens magazines or soft porn sites online that might pay for any of my pictures. I didn't go down that route but I did find an advert for a site called 'adult friend finder'. After many years of having very little and even then bad sex, meeting N had made me remember that I am a sexual woman. I enjoy sex and quite honestly wanted more. With trepidation I created a profile never thinking for one moment that anyone would be interested in me, especially considering all the nubile young women on offer. But I was wrong, I was inundated with offers. I had a few dates and even had sex with some of them. Then there was Pip. Pip comes from deepest Thomas Hardy country, he had grown up in the village my grandparents had retired to 35 years ago. I remember a fair few holidays down there so Pip and I had these memories to compare. We talked a few times then he showed me his picture. I was not impressed but not wanting to be shallow I thought I would continue chatting. Then he told me he had a week off work and wanted to meet me for lunch near The Other city which is where he works. So on the appointed day I drove over to The Other city and met him at a pub restaurant on the outskirts of the city.

The day before we met he had text me that he really liked me and if it wasn't being too pushy he might like to kiss me!!!

Too pushy my foot!! Well it was very sweet of him but really that was not what this was all about. Anyway back to lunch, we met he bought me a very nice lunch but as we sat eating I found him soooooooooboring I was just looking around I couldn't keep my attention on him however much I tried, I certainly couldn't maintain eye contact......there was just no chemistry at all. After lunch we moved to the comfortable sofa's with our drinks. He kissed me, if I remember right I moved so that he kissed my cheek. I just did not dig this guy at all, but I was feeling so bad that not only had he bought me lunch but had driven an hour to get there. then he got the idea that we should leave the pub, as we went out to the carpark he led me over to show me his new car ...don't ask me what it was I don't remember. We sat in the front talking, I phoned my friend to find out what time she needed me to pick up ET to get him to cricket (I didn't need to do that but it gave me a reason to escape in half an hour).

Pip persuaded me to get into the back with him where he tried to kiss me some more. there was one time when he said to me........

'Youknow you can put your arm around me if you like......... I think I have taught you something new today........I have given you a french kiss'

yuk yuk yuk....he might have tried to give me a french kiss but I was not co-operating. He actually thought I was very innocent. but in all this the funniest thing was when one of the waiters walked up through the car park, he could obviously see Pip pawing me. I was sat bolt upright staring forward. Pip had his back to the carpark so didn't see the look on the waiter's face. A few minutes later another waiter went passed this time laughing and doing the thumbs up to me.......I so wanted to do a thumbs down back. I know I shouldn't have let things get to this situation, I was just too soft .........no pun intended there but I will let it stay.

Eventually I made my escape unharmed in anyway but my dignity. but by the time I got home from my friend's house Pip had already text me that he liked me very much. Later as I was chatting online to my friend connor I got an IM from Pip, I tried to put him off, but he was adamant that he thought I was lovely and he wanted to see me again preferably tomorrow. I logged off and continued chatting to connor on a different msn profile. Pip was texting me that he liked me so much. I tried to let him down by texting him that I was worried about his feelings for me, that I wasn't ready for this. That is when the first email arrived.

sorry LiR i,v balls this up havent i , tell you the truth i,v been bit depressed last few days think it had somthing to do with my ex getting married i was upset that she,s got a happy famile life again .i like to think it wasnt that but cant think of any other reason so yes i was an idiot pushed you to hard im sorry can i have another chanch please we can have an healthy sex relationship, if you like that isi,ll understand if you dont want to see me again fuck it im such a idiot sorry x pip

wtf!! this guy thinks he pushed me too hard by kissing me, that I am very innocent and hes suggesting we have a sex relationship!!

I waited about 24 hours before I replied to him, I tried to make it out that it was all me not him, I didn't want to hurt him, I was still feeling bad that he had bought me lunch. Hey I have got better at this now....that was two years ago. I was feeling confident that this would be the end of it and he would be history. But I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for what followed.

thanks LiR i now know how you feel now . i shall tell you the truth now i am into swinging i do go out and meet other women and do have a girl friend thats who i go on holiday with. she see,s other men aswell, that the life im living at the moment so you see you had no worrys we could of had good sex together booked into traval lodges, i was right about feeling depressd you did catch me in a bad way that day, not knowing what i wanted from you sorry i lead you on i feel such a rat as i usally do when meeting someone new, as im in love with alli only prob is she doesnt feel the sameway so thats the mess my lifes in, we seam to be quite a pair dont we so i know you wont ever want to see me again now youv read this, so take care hun have fun hope you find what your looking for, lovely to have meet you, your very nice xxx pip

Now there is no way in this world that I am going to believe this.

I don't remember if I ever replied to this but I do remember that he continued to contact me. One day he was trying to chat while I was chatting to Connor, I told him what had been going on and connor just as a joke said he was surprised that I hadn't put pip in contact with 'the bitch' (pip had asked if I knew any women who might be into swinging). then the devil got into me and I said I might know someone, who actually lives a little nearer to him than I do. shes 100 miles from me. I showed him the picture I had on my computer (connor thinks it ugly) but pip was quite taken so I told him the town where she lives. For days he pestered me for her email and phone number. Eventually I owned up and told him that she was no friend of mine, I made him promise that if I gave him her email addy he wouldn't let on it was me that gave it to him. I couldn't believe he actually wanted to meet her, even when I told him she had been my love rival.

weeks went by and as it happened N had got back in touch and thats another story altogether, but as it happened I ended up staying over night at his place. the next day I got a text from pip....telling me that.....

'that 'the bitch' is a right cow and i'm having nothing to do with her'

so he had made contact then........I couldn't help laugh

I never heard from him again thank heavens.

most people think I am lovely but I do have an evil streak in me lmao

maybe one day I will tell you about my plot to have revenge on N (but I have grown up now...well perhaps just a tiny bit).
