i totally sympathise - if it makes you feel better i felt the same towards AOL which was why i changed to BT, hated BT and changed to Talktalk - and have cursed the last the most!
now you tell me!! switching to talk talk next week, modem has already arrived even though I have not told Orange yet
Talk Talk tried to persuade me to change last year but when I asked about change-over times, they said it would only be about 24 hours. I told them straight! I have two teenagers. I might not survive if I deprive them of internet access for two hours, let alone 24 which probably means 48! So Im sticking with BT and paying more. But at least I have access! OMG, Ive just said that on Friday the 13th. Im now frantically touching wood and any other lucky object I can lay my hands on.Good Luck Lady!
I was about to text you to see if everything was okay!First time I've read a post, that wasn't a post (Just a title) and got the jist of what's going on through labels!!!LOL!!!Me, I'm with Virgin. Been with them for nearly four years and haven't looked back. (at £15 a month). talktalk, I just use for my landline.
it's ok if you're a bit of a tecchie geek - i NEVER wanted to be a tecchie geek but have had to learn so much how to stuff over the time i have been with them. the bigest lesson i learnt is patience. and that's the silver lining i guess, lol. atleast i'm not dead
have you configured the wireless router they sent you - keyed in the username - your phone no. at talktalk.net and the password they sent you? the few other codes are quite straight forward - email me if you need help - the changeover isn't very long and i also have the phone no. for the big boys in technical help, not the frontline people who are limited in their tecchie know how besides being painful to understand only because english is not their first language
