Going Pink again

On Thursday 9th July 2009 I said a sad farewell to my black Razr V3 after 19 months together. I had been having a text conversation with sexy Forest when the battery drained and died. I tried to revive it when I got home but it was having none of it. It had been playing up in recent days telling my that the battery was incompatible. I had been having to take the battery out for an hour or so before reinserting it nd plugging the charger back in.

But on this day nothing was going to bring any life back into it. So sadly I had to accept that it had served me well but was now having a well earned rest. I worked out that my 18 month contract with 02 was about up so I would see if I could get an upgrade. As it turned out my contract had expired so I was entitled to an upgrade. Either that or I could take out a new contract with a different network. I decided to stick with 02, looking at the various handsets on offer that were displayed along the walls I dismissed the Soney Ericcsons and concentrated on the samsungs. I also noticed few Blackberries, I decided that of the phones on display the blackberry pearl took my fancy the most.

The young lad who served me dismissed this idea out of hand saying that I probably wouldn't get on with a touch screen some people do but many don't. Cheeky git!! He suggested a Sony ericcson I told him I wasn't keen but he wanted to show me one that he thought would be jsut right for me as I want to be able to send and receive text, make and receive calls and take photos and listen to music. He brought me a pink C905 cybershot which he informs me is the best camera phone with 8.5megapixels. including smile detection and other wonderful photographic tricks. I put my sim card into the handset to try it out embarrsingly my messages began pouring in, he left me to read them while he sorted something else out. That was lucky as there was a very rude one from Paulo. Anyway to cut a long story short I am now the owner of pink Sony Ericcson. I am still working out how the various features work but I discovered that one of our security staff at work has the same phone so she will help me if I get stuck.

The first photo I took was of my air fresheners in my car, a combination of two of my loves. driving and high heeled shoes. I have two of these as you can see but can't remember where I got them from and never see them now. Does anyone know where I can get any more?

love and hate phones

I really need to get my shower fixed. All the time it isn't working I am struggling to get to work on time. Take this morning, I ran my bath as usual but a little earlier, I was confident that I would be at work earlier today, but once I was in that tub of hot soapy water I just relaxed down into the fragrant bubbles, it was heaven to just lay there as my hands moved over my body rubbing and smoothing, finding each crevice as I washed myelf. I was so relaxed that I didn't notice the time ticking past, all too fast it was time to get out and I hadn't even washed my hair. So again I wasn't early to work.

We got paid today so the first thing I did was to pay my phone bill. Having done this ?I have been switching my phone on and off all day in the hope that the bar will soon be lifted. At one point I realised that my phone had been turned off for most of the morning. Turning it on I was suprised when it rang.

'is that mrs LiR?'
'yes'
'I'm contractor from ******'
'oh yes you are coming to see my window next friday'
'no today, the appointment is for 10.46am today'
'it's next week, friday 7th Nov.'
'it's today 10.46'
'thats very precise, they just say between 8am to 1pm, but I have booked next friday off work not this friday!'
'Don't worry I will come back next week if you are nice to me'
'what do you mean by nice? a cup of coffee?'

we then talked about the window, what it is like and what the problem is. He has said that when he comes next week he will take the window off its hinge, secure it shut and take the hinge so he can get a match for it.

It was quiet in the office today and the girls were killing themselves laughing at me as I talked to window man. I told him that I had only just turned the phone on so I must be psychic and knew he was about to phone me.

I turned my phone off again for a few minutes. This time when I turned it back on it was my mum on the phone. She had been taken to have her stitches removed. The nurse cut the end off the continuous stich then pulled. The stitch was coming away nicely until it was 3/4 of the way out. Then it got stuck and started to become painful. Mum said she could grit her teeth whilst the nurse finshed pulling it out. But it was stuck fast and wasn't going anywhere. So it was decided that she would go back to the hospital to get it looked at. When she got there the dr looked at it then at her notes and said that the nurse was only meant to cut the ends off its a disolvable stitch!! He trimmed the stitch as close to the wound as he could and put a new plaster on it.

During the course of the day I flirted with a few of the customers, the girls thought I was hilarious. At one point Bob was hanging around whilst I was on the phone, he asked our new girl.

'has she been like this all day?'
What they all fail to realise is that I am like this everyday, its just that they heard me today as it was so quie in the rest of the office.

Tonight JA needed a lift to the village so he could go trick or treating with his pals. He wanted me to collect him at about 9pm. But at about 8.20 he phoned home asking if he could sleep over at B's.
'yes'
'can you fetch me so I can get my things then bring me back'
'no, tell me what you want and I will bring it to you.'
'it would be better if you take me home then bring me back'
'I will bring your things'
'you are making it complicated'
'no you are'
'but I need my bike'
'why?'
'so I can ride home in the morning'.

The trouble I have with phones

For a few years now I have had a contract mobile phone. Back in the days when I was heavily involved in the football club I had a pay as you go phone, but I was constantly having to top up my credit with all the phone calls I had to make both to the team managers and the parents. My husband and I (gawd don't that sound regal)decided that it would be better if I had a contract phone. Together we searched on the internet found one that I liked and at a reasonable rate. Next day as he finished work earlier than me he went online and ordered the phone. (phone #1)Now this is where all the trouble began.

It was fine for a few months, the phone worked well I could make all the calls and send text messages as and when I needed to. But then my husband began to get suspicious, he thought I was having an affair with someone at the club. I was a working mum with four sons who played football, I was at the club nearly every day of the week with one or other of them for training and in those days I had all three of my younger boys with me most of the time whilst their dad was either in the pub or at home asleep. (Perhaps it was my own fault as for years I had joked that I could have an affair and he wouldn't know as he was never there.) I don't know when he thought I had either the time or the energy to have an affair and if I did who was there that I could even fancy and even if I did who was going to fancy a short fat middle aged woman who always looked windswept.

Now when we first got my phone it didn't matter that the bill was addressed to my husband as we had bought it together but it was a phone used soley by me he had his own one. This is where I later became not a little pissed off but very pissed off at 3mobile. They just could not get around the fact that it was his name on the order. They would not even let me change the tarif let alone change the bill into my name. This really became a problem when my husband was going through my phone bill each month cheking who I had phoned/text at what time and were there any patterns. Like the fact that I nearly always phoned or text the manager of OJ's team about an hour after getting in from training. Doh I was the team secretary then later the club secretary. Our conversations were about football, mostly I stayed in the room where my husband was so that he could hear the conversation from my end, if on some occasions I went and sat in the garden it was because it was quieter and I am a little deaf you know.

It soon got to the point where I wouldn't let my phone out of sight, carrying it in my pocket or failing that my waistband or cleavage, just so that he wouldn't go through my messages and call history. I had nothing to hide but he made me feel as though I did. I started sleeping with my phone under my pillow. By this time our marriage was crumbling around us. I decided to buy myself a new phone,(phone #2) one that I could use without his knowledge, and just leave the other one with just family calls. This was fine until about a week later I received a letter from 02 (my new phone provider). There was nothing wrong with the letter except that my husband had opened and read it before I got home from work. This was the final straw that ended our marriage. He was angry that I had bought a new phone (with my own wages), I was angry that he had opened a letter addressed to me.

So now he knew I had another phone he demanded the 3mobile phone as it was in his name, fine I deleted all contacts etc from it and handed it over. We were now going through divorce whilst living under the same roof (not something I would recommend to anyone unless you are a dust bunny and mulder). After a few months I was getting lonely, not that I was missing him, my marriage had been a pretty lonely place for 15 years anyway. He kept trying to make me watch videos on his(my old #1 phone) or playing voice mail messages from women, generally just rubbing my nose in that he was having fun with women. (in his dreams and their nightmares). I decided to investigate internet dating, and the first man I found had a slightly familiar face and turned out to be the ex husband of my very good friend Kez. 10 years later and several stones lighter. Next I came across N (if you have been reading a while you will know that I got involved with N).

Much to my amusement my husband (SF) decided that N was called Mike and was a policeman (oh how funny was that, he even decided which town 'Mike' lived in, and had someone ready to smash up Mikes car). He was wrong in everything he had dreampt up, but what I didn't realise was that each night after chatting on msn, I would go to bed in the box room turn on my radio and continue to chat on the phone. Apparently SF was outside my door listening in. One night he came rushing in and tried to grab my phone which resulted in it being broken. I found an old one of DC's which had been on 02 so I could put my SIM card in that. (oh what a shock I had turning that on, to be greeted by........'CJ is a great fuck' .............ok so now I know my son is nolonger a virgin.) At the weekend I took #2 phone to the shop, it was sent away to be repaired. I didn't like DC's phone so I bought #3 phone a pink motorola as a pay as you go and swapped the SIM over.

Now I was using #3 phone as my main phone and when I got it back #2 was now a reserve phone used only for a few select people. Six months down the line I was nolonger with N, SF had moved out of the house and the divorce was absolute, I began seeing other men. For a long time #2 phone had 5 numbers on it (3 lovers and 2 friends). New years eve came along and my phones (both of them) went mad at 3am. That was when #2 phone died, I never did get to read the message form GB the most imortant of my lovers at that time. Perhas it was just as well as he managed to send what he thought wa a new yr greeting to his employees but actually sent part of one of our conversations......ooops and him a respectable married man!!

So that left me with #3 phone and as a spare for when my contract phone was restricted because I hadn't paid the bill on time I had DC's old phone as pay as you go back up. This worked fine for a long time. Then last december I bought new phones for my boys and upgraded my phone so now I had a nice new shiny black v3 razor motorola (#4 phone) and the pink motorola #3 phone was relegated to be my spare back up phone for that one day each month before I paid my bill. I also used #3 phone as my alarm to wake me each morning. As the months have gone by #3 has stopped holding its charge, I can now only charge it in the car and that doesn't last long. A month or so ago I gave up trying to charge it. But back in the summer when I was on my ebay binge I had bought a samsung similar to my #2 phone but pink. When I got it I found that it is locked to orange and I wanted to use it on 02.

Now if you have not already fallen asleep you will need to pay atention now or you will get lost.

At the start of October checked to see how much I needed to pay 02 for my september bill, I knew I hadn't had to pay anything in august as I had paid two months together. The reply from 02 was that my most recent bill of XX amount was paid. I thought nothing more of it other than thinking I hadn't realised I had already paid september. Tuesday last week my phone was restricted. again I checked my latest bill, the reply was that my latest bill of xxx was paid. I rang 02 from work to ask why my phone wqs restricted but they were saying my bills were paid. I had enough money in my bank account to pay the first bill but not two combined (october is now due). The bar was lifted but I have to check my bank to see if any payments have been made. My bank only shows the last 30 days online, which makes it awkward to see when I last made a payment.

Ok so they lifted the bar on wednesday but on friday evening it was restricted again. I can still receive calls and text but can't make any calls, I can't use my back up phone as it has no charge although it does have £5 credit. So I think I will be clever, remember the samsung from ebay, I shal get it unlocked. So into town at 4.15 giving myself enough time to do the deed but not go off spending money. I need to go to asda anyway. so I find the phone man with his stall, he says yes he can unlock it for £10, fine I leave it with him whilst I go to the bank for some money (good idea that ). When I get back he couldn't find the right cable so has rung his partner to help him, he tells me that he hasn't been able to unlock my phone but if I come back in 15 mins he will do it through his laptop. When I return he hasn't managed to unlock my phone grrrrrrrrrr.

So to recap I have #3 with credit but no charge, #4 phone has charge, can receive but not make calls/text. #5 phone has charge but is locked to orange and I have 02 SIM. So I am stuck unable to make any calls or text. Suposing I get a text from Romeo I won't be able to reply :-(

Now I am feeling a bit stuck because DC has promised to pay me some money. He got paid on Friday (his day off), he went to the bank but didn't transfer money to my account, but said he would do that on saturday). When I got home from Asda DC gave me £200 cash !!!! omg why did he do that. I am glad he gave me money but I would rather it was in my bank. Now I can't pay my phone bill even though I can afford it. I can only get to the bank on Saturdays. I get paid on friday so my phone bill wont get paid until friday.

Today I have a brain wave or two................ouch that hurt, watch out for flying pigs of the spotted variety. Yes that is what I will do I can buy a new cheap phone at asda when I go to do my shopping (yesterday I just got enough food for yesterday as DC hadn't paid me by that time). so I ahve done my shopping and pop into the electrical bit where they sell the TV's phones and cameras. I couldn't find a cheap phone on 02 so I bought #6 a very cheap plastic nokia on virgin (long time since I was a virgin customer) £14 I also noticed that they did SIM packs for £4 so I bought an orange one to see if it would work on #5 phone.

So now I have beside me on my bed
#3 phone £5 credit no charge
#4 phone fully charged but restricted
#5 phone now has working SIM and charged up but needs to have credit
#6 phone works but needs credit

so anyone can phone me but I still can't phone out gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr

so guess what I am going to do next

buy some credit lol
then I shall indulge in some text sex just to make up for all this stress.....now who shall I choose

oh what fun I have been having with a little encouragement not that I needed much from my friend rae

surprises

It has been a long day at work and I find myself in Asda on a friday evening, my phone rings but by the time I have searched my bag I have missed the call. The handbag I have used for the last couple of months has a front pocket that I keep my phone in. But on Monday I changed bags over as that one is really very small. I have gone back to an older bag that I have had for a couple of years, it has a central pocket which zips across the top with the two main pockets one on either side fastened with a popper. There are two more zipper pockets one on each side. although there is plenty of room for the few things I have transferred this bag for some reason is very heavy. Closer investigation is called for. This bag has a specially designed section for mobile phones but I had chosen not to use it this evening.

So there I was in the medicine aisle (almost finished) with my bag on top of the loaded trolley, emptying my bag to find my phone. The missed call was my mum's mobile, the one she only ever turns on to make a call..............you can never call her back as she turns it off straight away. But this time I got her. She is helping the 'spoilt brat' to buy a new car. This involves her driving to Kent at 6.30 this morning so that SB could drive her up north in a hire car. They have now done the transactions and are in posession of new car. They then drove to Newcastle Airport to leave the hire car then get lift back to hotel so they can drive back to Kent in the morning, before mother drives home. I am worried about her driving for hours after the problem she had with her foot on monday.

I am stood there chatting to my mum looking at heartburn medicine and find myself staring at condoms and lubricants (while I'm talking to my mum!!). After the call, I notice that I have a text message. wow its from Romeo (the first in a week)

'could not agree more. in Portugal for a big meeting xxx'

??? wtf which text is that a reply to? I have sent a few in the last week, could it be.........

Czesc, mam cos do zgloszenia. Lubie Romeo xxxxxxxxxxx

somehow I doubt it. Perhaps it was a reply to this one...........

Romeo I crave you so much with all my body and soul xxxxxxxxxx

maybe but again I don't think it was that one.

I think it more likely that it was this one............

My darling Romeo I feel as though our day together was the appertizer now I am ready for the next course xxxxxxxxxx

what do you think? and while you are at it do you know what language I was using in the first text and can you figure out what I was trying to say?

Moving on now I have finished shopping, pid for my many groceries and am slowly pushing my laden shopping cart through the still busy car park (it was around 8pm by then). My phone rings again, this time it was 'shaun from Blahdeblah company' who what?

'This is not a good time, I am busy.'

'it will only take minute and I really want to save you money, how would you feel about saving upto £1000 on your fuel bills?'

'you wil have to phone me another time I am pushing a heavy shopping trolley this is difficult'

'I really need to talk to you now, can you not spare a minute'

I have reached my car now.

'ok'

'who are you with for your gas and electricity?'

'EDF & Scottish Power'

' How much do you curently pay per month?'

'I m on a key meter so I don't pay monthly'

'sorry we can't deal with you if you are on key meters'

lmao how funny .................just like the debt consolidators who are so desperate to solve my debt problems but when I tell them my debts are Council tax and water rates they just can't help with those. why do these people never believe me when I say they can't help me. Hee hee I didn't tell him that the electricity meter is being changed in under 2 weeks back from key meter to normal meter.

Hey I had to tell you about the lovely surprise I had tonight. Sammy came online for the first time since he told me he was in love. almost 5 months ago, although he is no longer in love. He doesn't even remember saying that he was.

i did meet a nice lady, or so i thought but she was not so nice,

Poor sammy he is feeling a mite disillusioned these days. for those of you who don't know Sammy was my final fling that never happened.

So who could have predicted I would write this post tonight certainly didn't, I have lots I want to write but every time I prepared to write I found myself just wanting to tell Romeo how I feel about him. I have been feeling a very strong urge to tell him how strong my feelings are, but I ahve resisted by telling myself to leave it, its far to early. then at lunch time I read Firebyrd's post about telling people that you love them. (I read blogs in my lunch break but don't comment....sometimes I forget to come back later to comment). I am torn now between keeping my own councel on this or coming clean.

Dangerous

Ok so my last post was about discovering that I had an unexpected windfall.

Great now I can pay my water bill, buy school shoes, a new classy outfit to wear for the posh wedding in Norfolk next month. I can take the boys out one day and not worry about the expense too much. I can afford fuel to get to London and or Brighton if required and I can get to Bollinger Byrd's party next weekend.

But giving me money is dangerous.

In the last 36 hours I have bought a package on the Irish, Spanish, french and Portugese Lotteries (they were lucky if the call had come a day earlier I would have had to decline) my packages over the last few months have reaped a whopping 50p..................I'm not giving up the day job just yet.

I have been shopping on ebay for a new phone for JA as I am fed up with not being able to get hold of him until late at night when he gets his friend to call me for a lift home. I ended up winning a new pink samsung for me and not him.

So today I took myself into town ..........................this is why I rarely go into town. The plan was to go to the bank to order a new bank card for JA he lost it when his younger pal was playing with his wallet grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Get the nokia, I had brought home from work when we got new office phones, unlocked. Have a look for something to wear next time I see Romeo or perhaps for the wedding, go to wilkinsons to see if they have any coconut shampoo/conditioner.

The reality was not quite to plan. JA decided to stay home as it was raining. He has managed to lose the nokia somewhere in his room. As I walked into the shopping centre I went straight to the book shop, I don't go there often as I tend to get hand me down books from my mum and friends. I can't afford to buy new books that I am only ever going to read once.

Which reminds me, there is one book I have read twice in the last 15 years the second time was about 10 years ago. I have been trying to remember what it was called and who the author was. It was set in modern day London about a young girl (20's) who was having sessions of regression which took her back to an earlier life in which she was living a life terrorised by a man who was in her life now. I am trying to remember how it went but I am getting muddled up with another book set in the times of King Arthur. I asked my mum the other day if she remembered it but she says she didn't read it so I must have got that one from somewhere else. Another friend or a boot sale/school fete. Since reading that book I have had a curiousity about regression but never taken it any further. I am now wondering if I would like to find out more about it.

So I go into the bookshop telling myself that I am looking for restaurant guides. MD has lent me his very smart (leather bound) copy of Harden's Restaurant guide 2008 because I was asking him for advice on decent restaurants I can take Romeo to. ( I did find one in there that looks perfect for my idea of a romantic posh restaurant not too far away. I couldn't find any sections for restaurant guides. I did peruse the fiction section as I am also trying to remember the name of another author who has a whole series of books I read a couple of years ago. I don't remember his name and when I have asked mother as she lent me the first one she doesn't know. I keep coming back to the name Colin ??????. His books are fast moving secret agent type action often set partially in the south of England but also in Europe and Scandinavia. Every time I go into the book shop I look for these books I can remember where on the book shelves they were when I bought the one or two I did buy all those years ago. It was either during or before I was ill.

Anyway I am sidetracked and as I am trying to find where his books might be I am looking through Sci fi fantasy then I move around the corner and start checking out the books on spiritual and self help. I am drawn to the bottom shelf of the middle section where I find the tarot cards. Over the years I have thought about buying some tarot cards but never found a pack I was drawn to or any that I could afford. I was not looing for any cards today so I moved on looking at the books of angels......I have a book of angels that Auntie recomended to me a few years ago. I looked at the books on the shelves above but I kept coming back to this sweet blue grey box on the bottom shelf . Once I had checked it out along with the other sets and gone back to the same one I picked it up and moved to the next set of shelves on self help where I chose a book. Now I love love books .......fiction books I don't do non fiction. But not only did I buy this book proclaiming to be a NO. 1 International Bestseller I even began reading it in the car. £15

Next stop the clothes shop opposite where I bought two blouses and a shawl oh and a set of beads. (I managed to snap the chain on the beads I wore when I met Romeo, these are very similar but a different style). £38.

I didn't go to the bank as JA wasn't with me but I went to the phone shop I usually use and bought him a cheap Sony ericson for £24 + £10 top up. where did I go next ?

Oh yes I managed to make it across the road in the rain to Wilkinsons and yes they had some big bottles of coconut shampoo and conditioner. I did buy a few other bits and pieces in there too. Then I figured I needed to get back to my car before I spent any more. Once back at my car I had a quick look at my new book while I decided whether I really wanted to go to Asda to do a food shop or just nip into our local store for tonights dinner. In the end I plumped for Asda for tonights dinner and a new towel. I am sure that the boys have been eating our bath towels as just as they can never find any socks all the towels have gone AWOL too.

Ok when I go to Asda my feet automatically take me to the George section (clothes) before anything else. I resisted looking along the aisles of clothes but couldn't resist the lingerie aisle. 1 pair of black lacey knickers along with a matching set of bra and knickers in white with pink embroidery later I managed to get to the men's section and collected 4 packs of black socks (3 for £1) I have been buying these socks for the last couple of years............stops the problem of matching up pairs if every one of their socks are identical. Doesn't stop the socks disappearing into sofas and under beds though. Next aisle being homeware I collected up a fluffy bath sheet in cerise and another in beige. Then spotted the beach towels £3 each or 2 for £5 so of course I got 4. For some reason I decided that I need a second wok. Oh and a new set of cds 100 romantic classics £7. all of this and tonights dinner including ice cream came to £72. so I recon including cash back etc I have got through approx £200 pounds today.

Giving me any extra money is a dangerous thing to do.

It now seems that I have given every member of the family something new today. After the shopping had been unpacked and put away by JA (only right he does something to earn his new phone) my clothes hung up and the new towels and packs of socks dished out I went into the kitchen. Nipper thinks she has a new gift too. Damn cat was sitting in the new wok that hadn't been put away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

life is good at the moment

I got paid today, so I paid my phone bill, filled up my car with petrol (now I stink of the stuffand it was hard to breathe without swallowing some). topped up the electricity key. managed to block my phone that I had just paid the bill for. (I forgot I changed the sim pin and turned the thing off by mistake!!) my sunglasses broke just when we get some sun!!

went out for a drink with married male friend. had text from Forest looking forward to our rendevous.

Now I'm off to spend night with Oxo ;-)
