If you have a broken arm or leg or you have an operation with bandages covering the wound people can see that and make allowances for you but when it is something they can't see and I know it is the same with MS as I see that with my mum. For years the only outward sign which I could see but others may not have noticed was that she dragged her right foot a little.
I felt as though I would be judged to be a fraud just pretending to be ill. I was wrong though as apparently I did look ill (very pale and weak), certainly not my usual self.Lady in redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02835625473505921821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527870095382449976.post-4519179050828729502008-06-15T23:52:00.000+01:002008-06-15T23:52:00.000+01:00Thanks for sharing this sweetie. *mwah*Thanks for sharing this sweetie. *mwah*Trixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18444757419149336359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527870095382449976.post-8069611316090739192008-06-15T12:40:00.000+01:002008-06-15T12:40:00.000+01:00Thank you for sharing this sad but interesting sto...Thank you for sharing this sad but interesting story.DJ Kirkbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08481107164497582398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527870095382449976.post-53317594649570082812008-06-15T12:13:00.000+01:002008-06-15T12:13:00.000+01:00what you describe about SF reminds me a lot about ...what you describe about SF reminds me a lot about my ex. he always has to be at the centre, the drama has to be about him, and usually we're all happy to put him in the centre, that's why the relationship always worked until something happens when the dynamics shift and someone's got to step up.Annie Wanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12385503768671197108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527870095382449976.post-43513244762493444312008-06-15T11:10:00.000+01:002008-06-15T11:10:00.000+01:00I think the knowledge that a loved one has cancer ...I think the knowledge that a loved one has cancer often provokes a reaction that cannot be anticipated. Even the word is very scary. I know what you mean about it feeling like an invisible illess and your need to explain to people so they won't think you're just being lazy. I am exactly the same way with my MS as there are times I need and have to ask for help from others.

It's funny how a crisis can bring out the best and worst of people isn't it and it's usually the exact opposite to what you would have expected.

Great post lady and thanks for sharing.
